The Minister said that the Bill is likely to be tabled in the next session and would be comprehensive and address all problems related to discrimination of HIV/AIDS affected people.

Moily was speaking at the book release of the Kannada version of the Nalini Jameela’s ‘Autobiography of a Sex Worker’ translated by K Narayanaswamy. He said that the book emphasised the need for self defence and the need to raise a voice against exploitation.

Nalini Jameela’s 2004 Malayalam book was a bestseller and has been translated into several languages. Her book speaks of her travails as a sex worker and her attempt to break free from the social oppression. Speaking to reporters at the event, Nalini said that the struggle to ensure rights for sex workers and provide them with benefits was a constant struggle and she would continue to fight for their rights. Expressing her wish for legalising the profession, she said her next book would highlight the plight of her fellow workers.
