Dig into delicious sandwiches

One can spot a huge crowd outside ‘Tango Sandwich Corner’ located in Shankar Mutt, Basaveshwarnagar. The vegetarian outlet was started eight years ago and offers a variety of fresh fruit juices alongside other snacks.

The sandwiches available here are mouth-watering. Muskmelon, grape, mosambi, pineapple, lime, orange, mango and watermelon are just a few of the many juices available.

They keep adding new flavours and serve ice-creams, milkshakes, fresh fruit mocktails, flavoured fruit milkshakes, mocktail milkshakes and other combinations.
They also offer light-bites like French fries, rolls, veg samosas, wedges and lots more and shortly, will be introducing burgers, pizzas, hotdogs, tortilla wraps, spring potatoes to name a few.

The place offers 110 varieties of sandwich, mushroom cheese, baby corn
vegetable, spinach cheese, baked beans, chocolate and mayonnaise topping sandwich are some of the ones available. “When I have to rush to work in the mornings, I just pack a grilled spinach sandwich and I’m good to go,” says Anjali a customer. 

If you ask Aashish Kathane, the owner of the shop, about the best sandwich available here, he says, “Everything”. There are several categories of sandwiches and among these, there are sub-divisions. The chocolate sandwich category is unique and worth a try. Customers can also choose from 75 beverages that include fresh fruit juices, milkshakes, ice-cream shakes and mocktails. The place also offers tropical fruit juices to quench your thirst.

If sandwiches do not excite you, you can go for the piping hot snacks. Potato wedges, momos, spring rolls and paneer rolls are delicious. If you are a fan of milkshakes, this outlet has more to offer than you can ever imagine. The place also combines two to three fruits to make a large and tasty milkshake. “The food here is tasty and not taxing on the wallet,” says Jothi, a student.

The sandwiches range from Rs 35 to Rs 100. The beverages are priced between Rs 30 to Rs 70 and snacks range from Rs 40 to Rs 60. “My favourite sandwich is the baby corn cheese sandwich and hot chocolate fudge,” says Karthik, a regular customer. The place is open from 10 am to 10 pm.
