DLF flat buyers stage protest

Last Updated 03 August 2014, 19:28 IST

Many buyers staged a protest at the DLF Limited Office in Akshaya Nagar near Bannerghatta Road on Saturday demanding the officials to hand over the flats they had booked a few years ago.

The buyers, who had come from different parts of the country, alleged that the builder had promised to hand over the flats within a year after starting the construction work. But it has been more than five years since the construction began and there is no sign of handing over the flats, they said.

A buyer, who had come from Kochi, said: “They are torturing people mentally. I had taken loans to buy the flat and now all my earning are going into paying the interest. They are callous in completing the project and their policies towards customer orientation is pathetic.”

No clue

Another buyer said: “The higher officials sit in Delhi but have no clue of what is happening here. There is a lot of pending works that need to be completed and we have no idea how long will they take to complete them. We are tired of waiting.”
