To ensure women’s safety and that sensitive data on websites remains protected, the state government on Monday amended relevant laws to book cyber criminals and sexual offenders under the Goonda Act in Tamil Nadu.
Minister for Prohibition and Excise Natham Viswanathan introduced the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offences, Goondas, Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates (Amendment) bill, 2014.
