Each member, who belonged to the Manganiyar Sufi group, were dressed in colourful turbans and shawls along with black coats, they looked stunning on the stage.
The performance kick-started with a song called Kesariya Balam.

The group was accompanied by instruments such as the soulful algoza, sindhi sarangi and kamaicha, and the pulsating rhythms of dholak and khadtal. They built a magical atmosphere charged with an intense emotional appeal. They also performed an instrumental piece and sang the popular song Nimbooda much to the delight of the audience.

Shiva, a hardware engineer, said, “I have always loved Sufi music, I’ve never attended a live Sufi performance, as soon as I heard that this group was performing live, I did not want to miss this opportunity. The Manganiyar Sufi group performed very well.”

Followed by the Sufi group’s performance was Shreya Ghoshal’s performance for which everybody was waiting eagerly. She came walking on the stage gracefully by giving her voice to the famous Silsila ye chahat from the movie Devdas. She also sang other Bollywood numbers, some of which were vada raha, agar tum mil jao, jadu hain nasha and many more.

She gave the crowd the privilege to ask for any song that they wanted to hear. She said, “In the little time we have, you can ask me any song and I shall sing it to you.”
She also spoke to the crowd in Kannada and this made most of them smile with joy.
As she sang many foot-tapping numbers, the crowd went crazy and many of them started to sing and dance as well.

Roopa, a home-maker who had come for the event, said, “I love Shreya Ghoshal, I like all the romantic songs which she has sung. I came here just for her, I am so glad that they have asked her to perform in this time’s Bengaluru Habba.” It was also Shreya’s first ever stage performance and there were no signs of nervousness in her beautiful voice or face.
