Protesters to besiege Soudha

Last Updated 13 August 2014, 19:36 IST

The candidates selected for the posts of gazetted probationers by the KPSC for the 2011 batch have planned to lay a siege to the Vidhana Soudha on August 16.

They are on a protest against the State government’s decision to reject the final selection list. Somashekhar, who is leading the protest, blamed the State government for the fiasco.

“The government’s decision has left 362 families in the  lurch. It should rollback the decision so that the plan to picket Vidhana Soudha is halted,” he said. He said they were planning to take legal recourse. The government should understand that many candidates would become ineligible to appear for the exams again as they would have crossed the age limit.

Hence, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should not consider it as a prestige issue and take a suitable decision in the matter, he said.
