CID files charge sheet against KPSC member

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) police, on Wednesday, filed a chargesheet before the Lokayukta Special Court against suspended KPSC member Mangala Sridhar, who is among the members facing charges of irregularities in recruitments to various posts of gazetted probationary officers.

The government had given sanction in the last week of July after the CID made a request for the sanction to file chargesheet.

The court has already admitted chargesheets filed against former KPSC president Gonal Bheemappa, Arunachalam, Mangala’s personal assistant Ashok Kumar, BWSSB engineer Sudhir, BDA engineer Somesh Chickmutt and secretariat employee Rajashekhar.

The police had filed the chargesheets in May. The court has issued summons to the suspects to appear on September 15 for a hearing.
