<p>Railway Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said on Sunday that railway employees were being trained in local languages, so that they can converse easily with customers.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Employees belonging to other states in Mangalore are already being taught Kannada and Tulu, the minister said. He was speaking to reporters at the BJP office in the city.<br /><br />Gowda said talks were being held with Japan with regard to starting a bullet train service on the Chennai-Bangalore-Mysore route. <br /><br />The minister said that three committees had been formed to suggest ways to bring down unproductive expenditure in the Railways and to make the organisation financially strong.<br /><br />He said that railway officials would henceforth be barred from using special trains or bogies for their conveyance. <br /><br />He said the complaint about officials travelling on a special train on the Bangalore-Hubli route recently would be looked into.<br /><br /></p>
