Realising the potential of attracting more tourists especially at the time of Janmashtami, Gujarat Tourism has planned laser shows with high dimension projection on an aqua screen at Dwarka — the abode of Lord Krishna.

This initiative is to attract tourists not only from India but from abroad especially those curious to know about Krishna. The tourism department also plans to have light and sound effects, musical fountains and underwater LED lighting and special effects at Gomti Ghat of Dwarka.

The project touted to be one of the ambitious projects of Gujarat Tourism.    The tourism department has, however, decided to keep  the entry for viewers on a payment basis.  The sound and light show projecting different aspects of the life of Lord Krishna is expected to last for more than an hour. So apart from having a variety of musical fountains, there would be video clips.
