The youngsters in the City love to sport fashionable hairstyles. An increasing number of men who have the most unique hair-dos which are either inspired by celebrities or are a result of their own creativity. 

Pratima Jessica, a City-based hairstyle director, says, “Every client has a different demand and FIFA-inspired styles were in all these days. I give suggestions based on the client’s hair texture. With men, thinning of hair is a concern. So keeping this in mind, I do styles that are formal as well as informal.” 

One of the most popular styles among men is the mohawk that originated from the Red Indian tribe of America. However, according to Pratima, mohawk is losing its popularity. “It is becoming a yesteryear trend. Not many ask for it and the ones who do, choose to colour them just to look different,” she informs.  

Vasudev Ananth, a first-year BBM student of Centre for Management Studies, says, “All my hairstyles are inspired by footballers especially Gareth Bales, who plays for Real Madrid. Though I change my hairstyle every month, mohawk is one style that I follow.”
    Ashik D’Souza, a second-year architecture student of BMS College of Engineering, says, “Most of my hairstyles are inspired by David Beckham. I just try to keep up with the current trends.”
