Rahul met local Congress leaders in his constituency Amethi and tried to resolve the differences between two leaders who have filed their nomination papers for one council seat from the district.
Rahul later visited several villages in the constituency and reviewed the progress of the developmental schemes including MNREGS and others.
On Monday, Rahul had visited Bundelkhand region and attended a ‘Paathshala’ (class) of women members of the Self Help Group (SHG) at Ghisauli village in Jhansi district.
During his interaction with women members Rahul was apprised of the details about the progress of their SHG. The SHG in the name of Rajiv Gandhi Mahila Vikas Pariyojna was formed last year on the initiative of Rahul.
Rahul continued his interaction with people in some other villages into the night much to the concern of the security personnel. His visit to the Bundelkhand region assumes significance in view of demand for a separate Bundelkhand state comprising districts of UP and MP.
