When you generally have fewer options in beer, the Oktoberfest celebration in city restaurants and hotels is an event people await with much cheer.

The festival is presently on in many restaurants and the interesting varieties on offer range from ales to hops to an orange or pumpkin chandy. It is virtually a beer-guzzler’s delight.

Oktoberfest which began in the year 1810, is the largest international beer festival held in Munich, Germany every year. The celebrations encompass a five-mile procession of more than 7,000 costumed dancers, marching with bands and floats. Colourful marquees are pitched where visitors treat themselves to delicious beers and a wide variety of traditional German food amid much festive revelry.  As beer lovers from around the world now celebrate this traditional German festival, The Beer Cafe is offering buckets of authentic German beers such as Erdinger, Krombacher, Valentins, Schneider Weisse and Paulaner. And for the first time they have introduced Beer Sliders comprising eight beers and a choice of beer bites priced at only Rs 2000 for two people.

You can indulge in the refreshing Bavarian beers and sumptuous pork and chicken sausage platters. Pair your favourite pints with delectable Chicken Nuremberg or German-styled smoked cheese sausages and Krakauer.

At Amour Bistro in Malcha Marg Shopping Complex, you can enjoy authentic German cuisine with brews like Weihenstephaner, Hefewe­issbier, Erdinger Weissbier, Münchner Hell, Paulaner Original, Paulaner Hefe Weissbier, among others.
 Quote Bar and Lounge in Connaught Place is celebrating the festival by offering special assortment of juicy hotdogs, creamy mashed potatoes, and a wide selection of beers. 

Zu Tisch a new German/European Bistro and bar is overflowing with beer along with traditional music to give you a feel of Bavaria. New in town, this ‘authentic German’ restaurant has a lot to offer and you will be spoilt for choice in food and music.

To add zest to Oktoberfest Zu Tisch is serving traditional schnitzles, pretzels, German sausages including thuringer bratwurst, and lots and lots of potato. Beginning the celebration from October 10 the restaurant has exclusive offers in drinks and food till October 21. 

Other restaurants like Shanghai Club and Pavilion 75 at Welcome Hotel Dwarka and Blooms in Eros Hotel are also celebrating Oktoberfest.
