Driver falls to death

A 33-year-old driver fell to his death from the fourth floor of Sanman guesthouse on Ratna Vilas Road near Basavanagudi early on Wednesday.

Giri Babu, a native of Hyderabad, stepped out of his fourth-floor room in the early hours of Wednesday and plunged to his death.

The loud thud awoke the people staying in the guesthouse. Moments later, they saw Babu lying in a pool of blood.

Babu had come down to Bangalore along with his boss, Shivaprasad, for the latter’s treatment. They were staying at the guesthouse. Police said that it was unclear whether Babu committed suicide or fell down accidentally.

A case of unnatural death has been registered at the Basavanagudi police station and investigation is being carried out.
