Wife held for murder

A body of man was found under Jyothipalya bridge, three days ago and upon investigation, the victim was identified as Shekhar (35), a construction worker who hailed from Channarayapatna. Further probe revealed that Savitha, wife of Shekhar had an illicit relationship with one Sharath Kumar.

Fearing exposure both had engaged Mahendra and Manjunath to eliminate Shekhar. The duo took Shekhar to Tavarekere in a four-wheeler and gave him pill-laced drink at a dabha.
He was later done to death by slitting throat, police said. All the four have been remanded into judicial custody.
