Bus service on new route

To mark the 58th Bus Day on Wednesday, the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) introduced a new bus service on route no 335-S from Rajarajeshwarinagar BEML 5th Phase to Kadugodi.

The bus is routed via Rajarajeshwarinagar temple, Nayandahalli, Attiguppe, Vijayanagar TTMC, Kempegowda Bus Station, Corporation, MG Road, Domlur, HAL, Marathahalli, Sathyasai Hospital and ITPL with five schedules a day.

The Bus Day was held in Vijayanagar and the guests were actor Dhananjaya and his team of upcoming film “Mamu Tea Angadi,”  BMTC Managing Director Ekroop Caur, Minister of Transport Ramalingareddy,  MLA M Krishnappa all travelled in bus to encourage public to use the services.

BMTC is on the verge of successfully completing five years of Bus Day. It has contributed to reducing air pollution, traffic congestion and diesel consumption, said Dr Caur. To mark the day, an additional 1, 500 general shift schedules, over their usual 6,338 schedules and 79,414 trips, were operated to meet extra demand.
