AAP has asked its former MLAs and Vidhan Sabha convenors to report cases of communal tension in their area and handover mischievous elements to police.

Issuing guidelines to the heads of Assembly segments, the party also instructed them to oppose ‘inflammatory’ meetings in a peaceful way. AAP said that the ‘strategy’ were framed during a party meet on Wednesday evening.

“Given the deliberate attempts to disrupt communal harmony and peace in different parts of Delhi recently, the Aam Aadmi Party has directed its former MLAs and Vidhan Sabha convenors in all 70 Assembly segments to immediately take concrete steps to foil such evil designs in the national capital,” the party isaid.

The party claimed that there is a deliberate pattern to arouse communal passions in the recent incidents witnessed in Trilokpuri, Bawana, Mundka and Okhla.

Accusing BJP of inciting riots in election bound states, AAP said that it has asked party leaders to expose the ‘real’ design of BJP.

The party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that he has made an appeal to the prominent personalities to actively participate in the efforts to maintain communal harmony in the national capital.

He said that the party has formed a “harmony committee” which is open for voluntary participation.

“In the unfortunate eventuality of a communal riot like situation, all members of harmony committees should immediately go to the affected streets and houses of victims.

They must be assured that everyone is with them and there is no need to panic,” one of the guidelines issued by the party says.
