‘The Hungree Belly’ has a unique style of working — from preparation to the service; be it their breakfast, brunches or buffets.

The restaurant started a year ago and since then, the cozy ambience has attracted college students, couples and families alike. ‘The Hungree Belly’ tweaks their treats and incorporates South Indian flavours to bring in the local touch to their cuisines. Prateek, one of the chefs, says that ‘Punjabi menu’ is a hit such as the butter chicken, dal ‘makhani’ and stuffed ‘parathas’ among families who come to tuck in for dinner.

He adds that the right proportion of spice and rice that their cuisines have is their speciality. The North-Indian style dishes are also popular like ‘Hariyali Paneer tikka’, Tandoori vegetables with white marinade, Chicken ‘tikka’, stuffed mushroom, ‘Paneer’ ‘lababadar’, ‘Malai’ ‘kofta’ and ‘Lachha pudina parantha’, along with a scrumptious North Indian breakfast like ‘puri’, ‘aloo sabzi’ and bread ‘pakoda’.

The place is also known for starters like chicken and mushroom tikka and their fresh continental salads. Prateek adds that the green chutney and tinge of lime that their salads have bring in a tangy taste to them which makes their salads popular. There is also a Hungree Belly Express outlet that doles out ‘chaat’ and North Indian snacks like ‘chole bhature’, aloo puri’, ‘dahi vada’, ‘dahi papdi’ and samosas which are popular among the younger crowd.

The eatery also takes orders for home deliveries. The restaurant is located at 52/1, 1st Floor, Tejasvi Plaza, Main Road, Malleshpalya and is open from 11 am to 11 pm.
