Ranbir Kapoor, who has been roped in as the ambassador of the Swiss watch brand TAG Heuer, says advertisement campaigns play a significant role in an actor’s life.

“To be honest, advertisements are a big part of an actor’s life and are equally important just like their movies,” said Ranbir at an event.

“An actor may have one or two movies releasing in a year, but the ad campaign runs throughout the year,” the actor added.

The 32-year-old, who seems to be taking forward the legacy of Kapoor family, insists that advertisements carry a higher recall value and have a wider reach.

“When Saawariya (his debut film) was released, not many people saw it and I was doing an endorsement at that time. Everyone got to know me through the advertisement. Such is the reach of advertisements,” said Ranbir.

The actor says he is associated with brands which he has faith in.

“It is very important to choose a brand which you believe in. Because if you don’t believe in it, then how will the consumer believe in it,” he said.
