Beckham, eldest son involved in car crash

Retired English footballer David Beckham and his eldest son Brooklyn were involved in a car crash, local reports said.

The Independent said Sunday, the accident occurred after the former England captain picked up his 15-year-old son from a football match outside Arsenal's training ground in Hertfordshire Saturday, reports Xinhua.

Beckham and his son were left "shaken" but unhurt after the accident, while two passengers in the other vehicle were also uninjured.

Reports said the air bags in Beckham's car were deployed successfully, but their Audi car was rendered unusable and damaged on the driver's side. Local police were called to the scene.

Brooklyn and his brothers, 12-year-old Romeo and nine-year-old Cruz have been playing for Arsenal's youth teams.
