JOIN USUnidentified men assaulted three cab drivers and robbed them of cash and valuables near Byataranapura on Saturday.
The victims identified as Nagaraj, Prashanth and Santosh, were standing near Veerabhadreshwara traffic junction on Mysuru Road, while a Tempo Traveller driver approached them and asked the way to reach Avalahalli.
The trio told him that they were also on their way to Avalahalli and asked the driver if he could drop them. The driver agreed and the three got into the vehicle.
Another five persons, who were already in the vehicle, attacked the trio and snatched away Rs 20,000 cash and mobile phone handsets from them.
As they reached Chandra Layout, the miscreants pushed them out of the vehicle and fled. The victims approached Byatarayanapura police station and lodged a complaint.
