<p>Two Syndicate members of Karnataka State Women’s University, S L Chandrashekhar and Raghavendra Sondur, have been dismissed from service for “irresponsible and indecent conduct”.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Governor Vajubhai Vala issued an order on Monday dismissing the two from their posts under Section 39 of the Karnataka Universities’ Act 2000.<br /><br />The Syndicate members visited the university under the pretext of supervising the ongoing construction works, which was outside their jurisdiction. <br /><br />They allegedly insulted the vice chancellor and the registrar using foul language in front of the students and the faculty. <br /><br />They also entered the ladies’ hostel without permission and abused an officer.<br />The governor, taking cognizance of the allegations, constituted an inquiry committee headed by G Lata Rao. Based on the inquiry report, the duo was dismissed.<br /></p>
