<p>The two-day Lok Adalat organised by the Karnataka Legal Services Authority (KLSA), in association with the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), saw a total of 808 cases solved against the target of 2,000 cases.<br /><br /></p>.<p>On the inaugural day on Thursday, 265 cases were settled while 543 cases were solved on the concluding day. Most of the cases pertained to khata and revenue-related disputes.<br /><br />Zone-wise tally<br /><br />East zone topped the list of disposals. A good 131 cases were settled followed by 129 cases of Rajarajeshwarinagar zone .<br /><br />Here’s the list of zones and number of cases settled. Yelahanka: 104, Dasarahalli: 104, Bommanahalli: 97, West zone: 87, Mahadevapura: 85, South zone: 47 and 12 miscellaneous issues were settled during the two-day Lok Adalat that was inaugurated by Chairman of Karnataka Legal Services Authority, Justice N K Patil. <br /><br />Public Relations Officer of Palike, S S Khandre, said that the grievances pertaining to khata, revenue-related issues and other disputes of all the eight zones were heard at IPP Centre, Malleswaram and the response from public was good.<br /><br />“Last year, about 2,450 cases were solved. Compared to last year, this time the number of grievances we received were less, which is a good development,” he added.</p>
