A Class 2 girl was reportedly raped by four minor boys, aged between 10 years and 14 years, at a desolate place near SC Colony here on Saturday night.
Hosapete police said that the nine-year-old girl, a resident of Myasakeri, was taken to the SC Colony by the boys, all residents of Talavaarakeri, on the pretext of playing with her. However, they raped the girl, police added. They have also singed the girl’s body with live cigarettes.
The victim has been sent for medical examination. Incidentally, both the victim and suspects, study at the same school.
A case has been registered by City police station based on the complaint lodged by victim’s mother, Renuka.
The suspects have been booked under IPC 376B and under POCSO Act, 2012.
