BJP member Ramachandra Gowda has said that he would move a privilege motion against Legislative Council Chairman D H Shankaramurthy for not including a request to discuss on the Panchayat Raj Amendment Act report.
Kota Srinivasa Poojary (BJP) said he had submitted a request to the Chair to allow a discussion on the panchayat report on December 12.
But so far, the same had not been included in the agenda for deliberation, he pointed. Coming to the support of Poojary, Ramachandra Gowda said it should have been allowed as decided at the business advisory committee. Shankarmurthy did not offer any specific reason for not including in the agenda.
However he said the members can’t direct him to include something in the agenda.
Gowda then said he would move a privilege motion against the Chairman.
