Chinthamani Sports Association scripted a 42-run victory over Cambridge Cricket Club to emerge champions in the KSCA Group I Division IV tournament for Metro Shield here.
In the two-day final played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, a batting collapse in the second innings cost Cambridge Cricket Club dear.
Batting first, despite an unbeaten century from Nidhuvan (100, 124b, 11x4, 3x6), Chinthamani were all out for 208 in in their first innings. Chetan Williams was the wrecker in chief, claiming six for 57.
In reply, half-centuries from Chetan Williams (80), Raghavnedra (59) and Shivakumar (67), Cambridge CC posted a strong 323 for six to take a first innings lead of 115 runs.
In their second essay, Chinthamani batsmen managed 206 with Nidhuvan (62) leading the way.
Set a modest target of 91, Cambridge CC were bundled out for a paltry 49 in 14. 5 overs.
