<p> <br />In an article dated January 4, 2009 on his blog Justice Kumar has said that having denied permission to hold a meeting of the High Court judges, he had circulated a letter amongst his colleagues apprising them that they can meet and debate over the topic as part of their ‘study circle’ meetings.<br /><br /> “This was not a meeting to pass any resolution, but only to enlighten ourselves with a little study beforehand.<br /><br />Unfortunately, the media has projected the meeting as a rebel meeting to pass a resolution against the Chief Justice,” the judge says, terming the media coverage as more speculative than of reality. <br /><br />Justice Shylendra Kumar said that these meetings were informal and inhouse meetings of judges to discuss and debate over legal issues of current importance. <br /></p>
