No irregularities in recruiting PSIs: Auradkar

ADGP, Recruitment and Training, Raghavendra H Auradkar on Friday said an absolute transparency was maintained in the recent recruitment drive for 285 vacant posts of police sub-inspectors (PSIs). He requested candidates not to pay heed to rumors over alleged irregularities in conducting selection exams.

Seasoned chain snatcher detained under Goonda Act

Sanjay Kumar alias Chandala, a seasoned chain snatcher, has been detained under Goonda Act by Bengaluru City Police Commissioner MN Reddi as part of the efforts to check incidents of chain snatching and robbery. He will be in detention for 1 year.

School bus mows down biker

A two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot after he was hit by a school bus on Panattur Road in Airport Traffic police limits on Thursday. The victim has been identified as Mahesh Yellappa, 20. The local police have taken the school bus driver into custody.
