Autocross attracts top drivers

“We are organising this event to promote Getiton Funventures, the place to be at for motor racing enthusiasts,” said Srikarunya, Club Steward of the Federation of Motor Sports Club Of India and a promoter of Getiton.

“The event will have races for most classes as specified by the FMSCI. We have already attracted several entries including some INRC drivers, and are expecting more,” he added.

Among the drivers taking part in the race are Samarth, Kola, Aravind and Deepak of FRK Racing. “For drivers like us, a permanent race track is necessary. It will not help just the professionals, but also encourage the youngsters as well,” said Deepak.
 
The facility will also have a state-of-the-art dirt track for rallying, a go-karting track and a trail for mountain bikes. The park is open for a fee to anyone with a penchant for speed, with professional standard cars and bikes being made available to them.
“Safety is guaranteed inside the park,” said Srikaru-ntya. The park is expected to be fully functional in six-eight months’ time.
