Motorcyclist mowed down

 A 63-year-old man was killed instantly when a speeding canter ran him over near Hennur on Monday night.

Paul, a resident of Lingrajapuram who worked as a supervisor at a private company, was riding home around 8 pm when he fell off his bike. Just then, a speeding canter coming from the opposite direction ran him over, killing him on the spot. The canter driver abandoned his vehicle and fled the spot. Passersby called the police who have confiscated the vehicle and sent the body for post-mortem. The Banaswadi traffic police have registered a case and are looking out for the canter driver.
