He was speaking after being felicitated at the inaugural of ‘Mudigere Tulu Vaibhava’ held under the aegis of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy here on Sunday. Tuluvas are harworking. Their contribution to social service, business, banking and education is noteworthy. Harmonious life is the greatness of Tuluvas, he said.
Another speaker Sesappa Rai said 75 per cent of Malnad population speak Tulu. Text books in Tulu language and script should be introduced in schools, he said. Academy Registrar Chandrahas Rai said the academy is doing united efforts to preserve and uphold Tulu language and literature.
