Bengaluru is a City of foodies. Be it Indian or Continental, the City has become a home for all kinds of food. Introducing the taste of Belgium is ‘BelgYum’ cafe, that offers you authentic Belgian waffles on your platter.  Ouentin Mees, who is a Belgian, says that he wanted to share the authentic Belgian dish with Bengalureans, which gave birth to ‘BelgYum’.

Marrying an Indian and making India his home for the past six years, Quentin loved everything about  India including the food. But he says that he missed home food once a while and began his search for a good waffle. Finding no authentic Belgian waffle in the City, he decided to open his own place here after taking all the recipes from his grandmother.

‘BelgYum’ has a team of six waffle lovers from varied career backgrounds and Quentin says that the varied dimension has added value to this dream waffle project. Trained under the top chef of a 180- year-old traditional Belgian bakery, he started ‘BelgYum’ six months ago. The cafe offers authentic waffles, the way it is traditionally loved in Belgium.

This place is noted for its deep-pocketed crunchy brown ‘Brussels Waffle’. One of the popular waffles in North America, ‘Brussels Waffle’ is topped with icing sugar, strawberries and chocolate sauce. One can enhance the taste by other toppings like cream, ice cream, fresh fruits, brown sugar and caramel sauce.

The chocolate sauces are homemade with imported Belgium chocolate. The other quality offering here is the ‘Liege Waffle’, which is the true star of Belgian streets. ‘BelgYum’ is located on 2nd floor, Phoenix MarketCity, Whitefield. For details, call 49652587.
