When originals took the stage

The penultimate concert of ‘Alive India in Concert — Season 3’ witnessed the band ‘Aurko’ taking the stage at Phoenix MarketCity recently.

The singers entertained the audience with their originals and some all-time favourites that have inspired them over the years through this concert.

The programme began with an opening act by some bands including an enthralling performance by world music band ‘Chakrafonix’ comprising Praveen D Rao, Varija Shree, Pramath Kiran who came on stage on the request of ‘Aurko’.

After this, Aurko went on stage and performed non-stop keeping the audience grooving till 11 pm.

They played ‘Unplugged Unforgettables’, a tribute to legends, for about 45 minutes.

They performed the songs of legends like Jagjit Singh, Rashid Khan, Hariharan, SD Burman, Manna Dey, Kishore Kumar, Gulzar, Mukesh and Rahul Dev Burman. The pieces included ‘Kahin Dur Jab’, ‘Hoton Se Chhulon Tum’, ‘Phoolon Ke Rang Se’, ‘Tere Bina Zindagi Se’, ‘Tuhi Re’, ‘Dil Dunta Hain’ and ‘Chalte Chalte’.

The performance also included other originals and ‘Unforgettable’ numbers like ‘Zindagi Kaise Yeh Paheli’, ‘Yaaron’, ‘Puchhe Yeh Dilse’, ‘Humma’, ‘Talash’, ‘Hum Bewafa’, ‘Dum Mein Dum’, ‘Suno Gaur Se’, ‘Raghupati Raghav’ and ‘Vande Mataram’.
