Teachers found drinking during school hours

Even the recent reforms in the education department of the state have failed to tame the notorious staff engaged in ill practices in government schools of Rajasthan.

The entire staff of the Khetri government school in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan was suspended after they were found heavily drunk during the school hours.

On the complaint of villagers, district education officer conducted a surprise inspection.  
During the inspection, one of the teachers Baldev Ram managed to run away from the spot while the other two – Jagdish Prasad and Ganesh Kumar were arrested by the police.

“The school has a staff of three teachers. One of them ran away while the other two have been arrested. All the three were found boozing in the school and were heavily drunk,” said Kailash Chand Gujjar, station house office of Khetri village.

A medical test was conducted on the teachers which confirmed consumption of alcohol, he added.
Police said all the three teachers use to consume alcohol during school hours. It was noticed by the students who shared it with their parents. 

Later, parents along with villagers approached the police and district education officer and a joint raid was conducted on Tuesday. The teachers include the school in-charge also.
