The State government on Friday promoted IPS officer H C Kishore Chandra and appointed him Director General of Police and Commandant General, Home Guards, and Ex-officio Director, Civil Defence, and Director, Fire Force, Bengaluru, in the existing vacancy.  

Padam Kumar Garg, IPS, has been appointed Additional Director General of Police, Crimes and Technical Services, and N S Megharikh, IPS, has been posted as Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, Bengaluru, in place of Chandra.  Besides, IAS officer N T Abroo has appointed Deputy Secretary in the Infrastructure Development Department with immediate effect. The officer had been waiting for posting.
