Inspired by a bright palette

W’, a contemporary brand for the Indian urban women, has always come out with collections that are inspired from around the world. Its newest collection includes looks like ‘Ink Box’, ‘Graphic Architectural’ prints, ‘Kitsch’ prints, ‘Cypher Nouvelle’, ‘Riverra’, ‘Fressia’ and ‘Ivory Coast’. And since the arrival of spring brings along a lot of colour, the brand has creatively blended them and the moods of the season to create an exquisite range with vivid shades, splendid silhouettes and various style.

“We’ve tried to keep the latest collection completely different. The collection takes a modern turn highlighting buildings, skylines, landscapes and architectural lines. It’s not just a trend, but also unique for the Indian crowd,” says Aarti Ahuja, Marketing Head, TCNS Clothing Co Pvt Ltd.

The collection comprises of an entire range of clothing from kurtas to trousers, skirts to palazzos and gilets to waist coats in the trendiest prints crafted to suit the need, style and comfort of the season.

jackets that can be teamed with a crop top or spaghetti add a surprise element to the usual range. Available in soft shades, these jackets are a must-have this season.“Every season, we try and work on a colour palette. The range includes vibrant colours like corals, lime greens and blues,” says Aarti, adding, “there is a different take on paisleys which are a favourite with everyone. They are recreated in a graphic way, by adding geometrics and contemporary colours.”

The silhouettes are crafted in different styles like an A-line maxi, handkerchief hem, the wrap style, fit and flared, flared style, v-shaped, cocoon and boxy shirts. “We’ve tried to give a fresh look to the collection with the styles, cuts, colours, and prints, which render a very cosmopolitan look,” she adds.  The brand has primarily focused on silhouettes which provide comfort and ease.

Apart from the core collection, ‘W’ also has the ‘Wishfull’ collection, which is perfect to be worn at any occasion. The brand also offers an array of accessories and bags that include a huge range from totes, clutches to evening bags. The creative jewellery collection is a mix of products like statement neck pieces in braided and geometrical forms, cuffs, bracelets and earrings. “We aim to provide options – any woman who comes to our store should get what she is looking for,” Aarti sums up.

Ashwini Rao, a civil engineering graduate of Sri Jayachamarajendra Polytechnic, was sported in an Ink Box ‘kurta’.

Madhurya M, a student of fashion design (diploma) from Vogue Institute of Fashion Technology, wore a Cypher Novelle top.
