The incident came to light when the temple priest went to open the temple at 3 am on Wednesday. The miscreants, who broke into the temple by breaking the lock, have made away with 120 gram gold and two kilogram silver ornaments.
The villagers immediately informed the police, who arrived with the dog squad and finger print experts. Tahsildhar Jayamadhav, Mulbagal Circle Inspector Jaishankar, Nangali Sub-inspector Sanjeev Rai inspected the spot. Nangali police have registered a case and are investigating.
