An enticing world

When two people who are on the same wavelength come together, a lot can happen. Dilip Banerjee and Gaurav Sikka are united in their common passion for travelling and food.

They have travelled widely and lived across the globe. It is this experience that inspired them to start their own venture — Arbor Brewpub Pvt Ltd  — here in 2012. It offers a unique experience of lifestyle, food and beverage. That Dilip and Gaurav have been
family friends for along time made the joint endeavour easier.

The idea of starting a brewpub in the City has been on Dilip’s mind for a long time and Gaurav's education in the US and his stay in the there gave him an insight into the culture of the place. And what caught Gaurav's attention were the breweries that were visible in every street corner in the US.

The possibility of mixing many flavours to create something new excited Gaurav and he began researching the possibility of starting something on similar lines in Bengaluru. “I researched about the prospect of starting a similar venture here. Once things fell in place, we collaborated with Arbor Brewpub in the US. Our merger was successful,”
he adds.

The beer at Arbor Brewpub Pvt Ltd is all hand-crafted and brewed in house. Among the varieties of hand-crafted beer available are ‘Bliss Hefeweizen’ which is brewed with wheat and a special German yeast strain that gives it a distinctive cloudy appearance and creates flavours of banana, lemon, and clove. ‘Brasserie Blonde Spiced Ale’is another favourites which is a blend of copper-orange ale with a rich, enticingaroma of orange peel and coriander.

 “There’s a misconception among people that darker the beer, the stronger the flavour but that’s not so. The beer here offers the right blend and makes sure nothing goes overboard,” adds Gaurav. He explains that effort is made to match the food and beverage.

“The burgers, salads and the main course in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian are popular with the regulars.

All the breads and desserts are made by our in-house chefs. The menu matches the parent company in the US,” shares Dilip.
