Elegance on the runway

As the white light hit the ramp, it eased the way for the models to gracefully make their way across the platform. One foot after the other they placed elegantly and effortlessly, showcasing a rack of the latest trends.

‘Fashionite 2015’ was a blazing success as talented designers from the Indian Institute of Fashion Technology put together some of their best work for the audience and showcased a style statement that is unique to the graduating batch.

The design school witnessed the ultimate package of entertainment and an artistic mix, with a tinge of glitz and glamour added to it as the models, both men and women, heated up the runway and captivated the audience in clothes designed by IIFT students. The fashion show left the audience mesmerised because of its elaborate preparation and collection.

A group of 92 graduating designers from IIFT showcased their work on a specially designed ramp with 184 designer garments. The theme of the day was Indo-Western.
The fashion show showcased designs of budding designers of IIFT which were displayed by 16 leading names of the modelling world, which include models like Arwa Shabbir Hussain, Jasleen Benipal, Madhumita Dey, Saniya Haseeb, Divya Gowda, Vandana Vinod, Akshara Suresh, Vidya Shree Ks, Netanya Lucinda Scott, Abhishikta Shetty, Monisha Ramesh, Rakshita, Ruksana, Sanjana, Geetika, Champaka.

During the day, students won prizes in different categories – Overall Best Designer, Best Designer, First and Second Runner Up along with special award for Masters, Bachelors of Science, PG diploma and diploma categories. Amidst the days full of fun, frolic and frenzy, ‘Fashionite’ concluded with the numerous thrilling events that attracted many people from all over the City.
