The High Court on Thursday disposed of the petition filed by Sudhir Reddy, husband of IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri, seeking to restrain the government from making any statements linking his wife with deceased IAS officer D K Ravi, who was her batchmate.

Justice Abdul Nazeer, who heard the matter, disposed of the petition after the government submitted that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was investigating into the death of Ravi and that the government cannot make any statements in this regard.”

“In view of the statements made by the additional advocate general, no further order is required. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of,” Justice Nazeer said.

During the hearing, senior counsel Sajan Poovaiah, appearing on behalf of the petitioner, sought expungement of some of the remarks made by the State government in its objections, which had mentioned the financial transaction between Rohini and Ravi.
However, Justice Nazeer said the court could not do so.

The bench directed the court registry to return the sealed cover to the additional advocate general, so that it is handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
