Bindra threatens to retire

The 27-year-old Bindra is frustrated after being left out of the Commonwealth championships next month.

In a statement read out to the media at his farm house near here, Bindra said it was “unfortunate” and “extremely distressing” for him that his viewpoint was not being appreciated. He said he was particularly distressed by the attitude of the National Rifle Association of India, which had not taken into account his foreign training and had kept him out of the championships for not attending trials in India.He said he had pleaded with the authorities to let him continue with his foreign training schedule.
