Sakshi Maharaj calls Rahul 'mad'

Controversial BJP leader Sakshi Maharaj has done it again. The saffron party’s Member of Parliament embarrassed his party once again on Friday by calling Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi “pagal” (mad). 

“Rahul is mad... he does not know anything about agriculture,” the BJP Lok Sabha member from Unnao said while referring to recent attacks by launched by Rahul against Prime Minister Narendra Modi over farmers’ suicides and the Land Acquisition Bill.

Sakshi Maharaj praised Modi and likened him to Lord Krishna. “Just as Lord Krishna had come to the rescue of Draupadi (wife of the Pandavas) while she was being stripped by the Kauravas, Modi has come to the rescue of Nepal,” the BJP MP said referring to India’s help to the quake-hit Himalayan nation.

Barely a few days back Sakshi Maharaj had attributed the Nepal earthquake to Rahul’s visit to the Hindu shrine of Kedarnath. “The gods became angry owing to Rahul’s visit as he eats beef,” he had reportedly said.
