JOIN USChief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday said that the State government has submitted the reservation list of candidates to the State Election Commission to conduct the forthcoming Gram Panchayat elections.
Speaking to reporters near his house here, the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said:
‘The reservation list has been prepared giving equal preference to male and female candidates (50:50), after bringing amendments through Karnataka Panchayat Raj Act (Amendment) Bill.’
Upgradation
On the upgradation of Bengaluru- Mysuru State highway as national highway, the chief minister said: “Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari gave his approval for the proposal to upgrade the state highway to national highway. Following the upgradation, by-pass roads have to be built at the towns passing through the highway like Mandya, Channapatna and Ramanagar.”
