<p>Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday said that the State government has submitted the reservation list of candidates to the State Election Commission to conduct the forthcoming Gram Panchayat elections.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Speaking to reporters near his house here, the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said: <br />‘The reservation list has been prepared giving equal preference to male and female candidates (50:50), after bringing amendments through Karnataka Panchayat Raj Act (Amendment) Bill.’<br /><br />Upgradation<br /><br />On the upgradation of Bengaluru- Mysuru State highway as national highway, the chief minister said: “Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari gave his approval for the proposal to upgrade the state highway to national highway. Following the upgradation, by-pass roads have to be built at the towns passing through the highway like Mandya, Channapatna and Ramanagar.”</p>
