Report confirms hospital worker was murdered

Last Updated 18 January 2010, 19:33 IST

The medical examination report of the deceased's body clearly indicates that his injuries point towards murder.

Ram Prakash, living in the workers’ quarter nearby, had plummeted from a wall attached to the compound of the institute around 9:30 am.

According to the police, climbing up the wall is an improbable task.

Hence, they were not willing to treat it as a case of unnatural death, rather it was a cold-blooded murder. Sanjayanagar police had registered a case based on the complaint of Dr Renuka Prasad, IAH&VB Director. According to police sources, the medical examination report had unambiguously stated that the deceased had different kind of severe rib and head injuries which are uncommon for an accidental death or suicide. Hence, the police have registered a fresh FIR.

"We lodged the FIR on Sunday and are interrogating every possible suspect," said an officer involved in the investigation.
