Two youths killed in car accident

Two youth were killed on the spot and two more injured after the car they were travelling in fell into a ditch on Bengaluru-Ballari Road near Yelahanka in the early hours of Sunday.

According to police all the four were inebriated.

The police said that the deceased have been identified as Vivek and Pramod, both aged 28 and residents of Kamalanagar.

Avinash, a resident of Mathikere and Suman, a resident of Basaveshwaranagar, suffered injuries in the accident.

According to the police, all the four of them were going on a drive after consuming liquor. Vivek, who was at the wheel was found overspeeding.

He lost control over the vehicle and drove into a ditch. Due to the impact of the crash, Vivek and Pramod succumbed to their injuries on the spot, while Avinash and Suman were shifted to a nearby private hospital.

Avinash is said to be critical while Suman is out of danger. Yelahanka traffic police have registered a case.
