The City received 2.4 mm of rainfall for a few hours, bringing life to a standstill. HAL and Yelahanka recorded 4 mm and 18.2 mm, respectively,

Upto 5.30 pm the City recorded 0.6 mm, while HAL airport had recorded 3.6 mm, and there was no rainfall reported at the international airport.

Due to cloud cover and light rainfall, the temperature fell by two degree Celsius. Maximum temperature was 31.5 degree Celsius against the normal of 33.5 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature was 22.2 degree Celsius.

According to IMD, Bengaluru, director Sunder Mahadev Metri, the City will continue to receive rainfall because of the presence of an upper air cyclonic circulation over Comarin area and the neighbourhood areas in lower level.

This is also generating a trough over south interior Karnataka. Under the influence of these two systems, the City is experiencing rainfall.

He said thundershowers will also be reported in due course. Belagavi and areas located 100 to 130 km away from Bengaluru, can also experience hailstorm because of these factors.
