<p>The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday produced Kaushik Kounar, who was arrested on charges of uploading several rape and porn videos on the Internet, before a CBI special court. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The CBI officials took Kaushik to Delhi on body warrant. Sources said that among various video clippings uploaded, Kaushik had uploaded three clippings of a gang rape in Sitapura in Uttar Pradesh. The special court also remanded Kaushik to CBI police custody for four days. <br /><br />The CBI officials told the court that they have seized 470 porn clippings from Kaushik’s possession. Sources said that Kaushik had come to the City in 2013 and stayed at a relative’s house in Mahadevapura. Around six months back he had moved to a rented house in Mahadevapura. <br /><br />The CBI officials have also seized an uploader software, pen drives and mobile phone from Kaushik. “He was actively involved in uploading porn clippings on the internet. He has admitted to uploading such clippings. Further investigations are being carried out into details from where he used to get the clippings and the source of the money he received for editing and uploading the same,” an official said.<br /><br />The CBI has booked Kaushik under Section 16 of Indian Penal Code and various other sections under Information Technology Act. CBI officials further said that three of the clips pertaining to a gang rape in Sitapura in Uttar Pradesh had created an uproar.<br /><br />The CBI team from New Delhi had arrested Kaushik, a native of Odisha, on Thursday evening. A Class XII pass, Kaushik had also studied in an ITI college. The CBI officials suspect that Kaushik is part of the gang that trapped gullible women, shot live sex videos and uploaded them on the Internet. <br /><br />The team from the premier investigation agency had taken up the probe following a direction from the Supreme Court after a Hyderabad-based NGO wrote a letter to Chief Justice of India H L Dattu. <br /><br />The complaint was sent along with a pen drive with nine such clips. The CBI registered eight FIRs and initiated preliminary enquiry after arresting Subrat Sahu, a property dealer from Bhubaneswar, Debashis Dev in Cuttack on the charge of recording a video clip in which Sahu was said to be raping a woman.<br /></p>
