Dancing away to glory

Sambhram Institute of Technology recently hosted ‘Vibez-15’, a two-day techno-cultural extravaganza, for engineering and management students of Karnataka. More than 36 colleges participated in the fest and made it a grand success.

They had 22 cultural events, 12 technical events and five sports events. Arjun Devaiah inaugurated the fest with the invocation speech and lighting of the lamp. More than 6,000 students gathered at the venue to enjoy themselves.

The first evening had a show by ‘Aghor’, a fusion band, after which playback singers like Samanvitha Sharma, Sangeetha, Shashank and Jubair Khan, and Ankit Prabhu performed. A ‘Mr and Ms Vibez’ event was conducted just before this.

On the second evening, there was a big competition among various dancing groups. After the group dance competition, there was a fashion show competition among eight teams. Acharya College of Technology was named the winner.

Some of the other colleges that took part were MSRIT, CMRIT, BMSIT, NMIT , Sir MVIT, SVCE, SKIT, MVJCE, UVCE, and Mount Carmel College. All the participants enjoyed and participated in ‘DJ Night’ on both the days.
