Battling on the dance floor

'Meltdown'

The City’s most exciting hip-hop event, ‘Meltdown’, will be held on May 23 and 24, at the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan. ‘Meltdown 2015’ features ‘B-Boys’ June and Achaiah, judging the cream of the crews. Breakdancers are invited in the following categories ‘1V1 Breaking’, ‘1V1 Popping’, ‘2V2 Breaking’, ‘Beatboxing’ and ‘3V3 Allstyles’.

   ‘Freeze’, the Indian break-dance platform, was founded in 2009 by ‘Black Ice Crew’. It is a well-known battleground, which brings B-Boys and Girls from across the country together to ‘break the dance’ floor. It attracts international greats as judges every year, including the inimitable ‘Storm’, ‘Patrick Grigo’ and ‘Airdit’, all from Germany.
