Bengaluru: Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa was on Friday granted interim bail in the case of illegal de-notification of one acre and 11 guntas of land in Ganganagar.
He had filed an application seeking anticipatory bail and an interlocutory application seeking interim bail.The Lokayukta Special Court judge granted him interim bail till June 10 and directed the special prosecutor to file objections. Last week former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy had filed for anticipatory bail and was granted interim bail till June 6.
The Lokayukta registered an FIR against Yeddyurappa, Kumaraswamy and others on May 6. The complaint was filed by Jayakumar Hiremath. The land was purchased by Kumaraswamy’s mother-in-law Vimala and sold to her son T Channappa.
