District surgeon accused of nepotism

The protesters alleged that District Surgeon Srinivasan has been harassing the staff from the day he assumed office. Srinivasan has transferred senior pharmacist Venkateshappa and has appointed his wife to the post, Ravanappa from the lab and Papanna have been transferred without any notice.

Srinivasan has recommended for the transfer of famous doctors Sujata, and Shashikant Das. D group workers are entrusted with the responsibility of Xray division, the protesters alleged.

The also complaint that the surgeon was involved in nepotism. The agitators demanded for the immediate transfer of the surgeon failing which they will be forced to intensify their protest.

The protest was led by Health and Family Welfare department and Medical Education Staff Association. Rangegowda, Government Employees Association District Unit President K N Manjunath, N Ravichandra, N Rangappa, R Ashok, Pundit Munivenkatappa, N Gangappa and others led the protest.
